Where do I start with Weber bros? Any sociology I should know before getting into him?

Dunno but I'm reading Habermas' chapter on Weber atm and it's interesting, I"m overdue to do a writeup on Habermas for the board but I'm too busy reading.

Neither here nor there, but there was a minor cubist painter by the same name.

I'd recommend starting with Protestant Ethic. You don't really need to know any prior sociology since he was there at its beginning. Then move onto the Vocation Lectures, then Economy and Society. After that, if you're still interested you can read the collection of his political writings published by Cambridge and his General Economic History. Or, if you want an expedited approach, replace the Vocation Lectures and Economy and Society with 'From Max Weber: Essays in Sociology' which is a collection of the most important parts.
