>>peasants most of the time did not have the money to hold land or entertain a wife so they lived as hirelings in the farmstead of a relative
>>most of the time only the oldest brother inherited all of the land, otherwise the land would have been partitioned out of existence
Depends on the region and time period, but this isn't actualy that wrong
>>worked from dawn to dusk (which implies very long work days in the summer and very short work days in winter)
What people understood as "work" was very different from the industrial underdtanding. Peasants would take long breaks, take naps after lunch and would do a variety of tasks (if harvesting season wasn't on). Factory owners had massive problems with getting peasants to actualy work 12 hours at a time, which is why they prefered to use children and women
>>even on vacation days most had social obligations like attending very long church services in Latin or organizing some parts of the town festival
People today also have social obligations, not to speak about chores around the house which don't count as work today, but would have counted back then
>>your neighbor actually looked like you because he is your brother and if you are lucky and wealthy enough your son will marry his daughter
Peasants had very strict laws to abid to when it came to marriage. The church would keep family trees of everyone to check if you could marry someone, since you couldn't marry up to the 12th generation (all though this obviously becomes almost impossible). In christian albania you where not allowed to marry someone from your tribe or village, even if you had no relation.
>>even without niggers people acted like niggers due to bad education, superstition, systematic banditry, peasant revolts, robber barons, etc.
Probably not that wrong if you ever interacted with actual rural people. Tho they are much more fun to hang around than oversozialised urban faggots.
>>drinking very thin beer all day because the water might kill you
They drank beer because it was a good source of calories and noutrition, not because the water was dirty, since they knew how to debacterialize watter easily
>>usually a vegetable diet because the local lord holds privilege for game hunting and if you should try and hunt a rabbit on your own, he's gonna behead you
Completly depends on the region, this was not true for all europe. Meat actualy was somewhat rarer than today, but they would eat a lot of diary produce and eggs (depending on the region they would also eat a lot of fish).
>>you smack your wife, she complains to the local priest, the local priest shits on you publicly in the next sermon he holds, forever ostracizing you in your tight-knit village community
Yes, if you did it without good reason that would happen. You couldn't treat your wife like complete shit, since you always had to keep in mind that her family would not like that. But if you had good reason, people would understand it more than today.

Well, there are a lot of sources to look into. "Medieval europe" is a very long time and takes place in a large and diverse region. You had pagan tribes in the baltic, muslim califates in spain, a roman empire in the balkan and proto mercantile citystates in italy at the same time, which obviously meant big differences for the people. A lot of my "knowledge" comes from my family, who have a farm in rural kosovo (not some modern profit oriented farm). Also, i'd recomend the Kanun, which is the ancient albanian law book, where you can actualy get a very good understanding how people lived back then (even though the laws where only written down in the 20th century and mentioned things like guns and coffee, which would not have existed in the medieval timeframe). Keep in mind though that albanian society was much more tribal than others and basicly had no feudal lords like for example central europe.

People knew how to purify water in most of the world. They did prefer beer because it was a great way to get some extra calories (the average peasant consumed more calories than the average modern man). Beer (or better to say ale) came in many variations, one beeing the more wattered down version for the normal day, which would give you a small buzz at most, and the other beeing much stronger versions for feasts and celebrations.

Chores are not included in modern workers workday, while it is for medieval peasants. Commuting time also isn't included.
