>for it was the subjective sphere, in the inward relation of oneself to oneself and to the subjectivity of others, that one became aware of god

What does this mean in simple terms? Is it trying to say that because at ones most desperate hour, one often seeks a supreme being to interfere in ones predicament, when all hope is lost, that person then come to a closer relation with god if the dire situation is resolved, and since that person may be now able to relate with others that have had such a subjective event, that one person comes to a relation and understanding of god (as the absolute? What even is the absolute?)

>you yourself are concious
>there are others who look like you so they Muster habe conciousness
>you are not the only conciousness in the world
>There is an universal conciousness which perceives everything

Basically this. Sartre is Fülle of tautologies although he has some interesting ideas.

That's quite a jump to universal consciousness, is this some Soren defends and explains in fear and trembling

Don't know, made that up. There is no other way to conclude to the existence of good from this sentences

For it was the subjective sphere.

So we're in a sphere of thought that allowed for subjectivity

In the inward relationship of oneself to oneself

How you relate to yourself internally(who you think you are and who you see yourself as)

And to the subjectivity of others.

Other people arent things we can objectively label, rather we have to consider them as complex and subject to change and overall impossible to objectively define.

That one becomes aware of god.

How can humans objectively declare that god exists. How can a mere mortal claim to objectively know the mind of one such as god. We can only become aware of god if we admit that god could be any number of things to any number of people.

Yeah idk guys thats a toughie and would probably require me to engage much more deeply with Kierkegaard and Sartre than a portuon of a piece of a quote

Well, I wouldn't recommend. Most good writers put the reason for their conclusion directly into the sentence and don't just jump from premis to conclusion with no further explanation.
