If Dante supposedly read so little books, how did he managed to write such a tale like The Divine Comedy?

What do you mean? The Comedy clearly indicates that Dante actually read quite a lot. At minimum he'd read everything "essential" from the Ancient World that he had, along with everything important from the Medieval World up to his own time.

He didn't read Homer and he didn't read Plato, but that's because they were literally lost to Western Europe when he was alive. And even then, he at least knew OF them.

This, his knowledge was encyclopedic. You don't obtain that sort of knowledge by reading little

What do you mean by OF?
What would be this hypothetical list of book that Dante read?
Also, I've heard Emilly Dickinson also read relatively little. Is it true?

If the objective of the book was to make you feel like the tortured souls of heroes and writers that thought that by doing good things they would be rewarded in the end, then it fulfilled said objective wonderfully.

If I remember correctly, he read each of the few books he had dozens or hundreds of times. Try it some time. You may develop a new appreciation for the literature you read (if you have the patience).
