Whenever I start talking to a girl I feel phony because I'm making up a persona to attract her and become ashamed of myself. I cannot lather in bad faith, I cannot ever talk to girls for any reason other than out of necessity.

I don't see value in my ego bouncing off other people, in a way as I am doing now by posting. I have built confidence, I did lectures on the Greeks to philosophy classes as a 17 year old. But I don't see the value of connection anymore. Not between the arbitrary particulars among me, myself included. Only between the eternities. Only an absolute devotion to God. To do anything else to wear this mask and hate myself for pretending afterward.

The temporal plane which we consider "reality" is one that is to be detestable because the world is evil, and the flesh is evil. It is this plane where people reside, where everything is stained to a degree. I am not a Gnostic though. I have to turn towards the spirit, toward God absolutely. Only the incorporeal. I must reject the illusive, the transitory.

The body is evil now because it is unclean. During the resurrection it will be cleansed and the flesh and the judged soul will be one again. At that point the flesh won't be evil because it is not unclean anymore. There is no sin then, there is no separation from God. The world is bad now because it writhes in sin. Then however it will be cleansed and we will not even have to make these distinctions.
