I'm looking for Christianity. Not references, not themes judging Christianity, but a book that supports the Christian worldview. I'd love a classic but also would love something modern, probably a political Conservative vs Lib view happening in America type thing, Good vs Evil (Libs as evil).

I've already read a lot of CS Lewis and Tolkien.

I don't want a direct rendering. I've already read Paradise Lost, anyways.

Read City of God Against the Pagans by Saint Augustine

Thank you, I will.

Also, it seems like the only people you're allowed to view Christianity positively through are Catholic. Are there any Protestants?

You should hope not.

America is a Protestant nation. You'd think they'd have something in the canon to reflect that.

There's Kierkegaard. Fear and Trembling is good but not sure if it's what you're looking for.

Not interested in druggie books but I will check out the other recommended. Thank you :)

Which Kierkegaard do you think I should start with?

Fuck Augustine and fuck protestants, read aquinas. If the retards on the internet back in 2011 were thomists there would be no new atheism because it would be btfo into the stratosphere. But since the internet is mostly American and protestant ideology is full of liberal yielding to the status quo they allowed these new atheist clowns to dominate them. Read aquinas.

The Internet was seized by bad people a long time ago, that explains the prevalence of atheism on it.

Augustine and Thomas are not in any way opposed to each other. They're both doctors of the Church, Aquinas was just born a couple hundred years later.
>>16790356
I'm not sure what you meant. Augustine and Kierkegaard were not druggies

>/lit/ is for the discussion of literature, specifically books (fiction & non-fiction), short stories, poetry, creative writing, etc. If you want to discuss history, religion, or the humanities, go to /his/. If you want to discuss politics, go to /pol/. Philosophical discussion can go on either /lit/ or /his/, but those discussions of philosophy that take place on /lit/ should be based around specific philosophical works to which posters can refer.
Fuck off and don't come back

You're stupid, in that case.
The two sides of the American conflict are Destructive, Outward Evil and Selfish Evil. The fact that you consider conservatism, e.g. the conservation of eternal war and bankster profiteering, morally upright, shows that you need to re-read the entirety of your Christian corpus until you lose your frankly retarded affinity for red team versus blue team false dichotomy party politics.
