here's a list of more or less classic/pre-21st century homoerotic books (some lesbian too) i've scraped up yesterday

> wingmen
> giovanni's room
> maurice
> The Wars byTimothy Findley
> The City and the Pillar
> Well of Loneliness, by Radclyffe Hall
> Tipping the Velvet

also, Kuzmin among russian ones, but idk if he ever got translated.

I get the idea that the book is about getting to know ones consequences for ones actions. And in this case it is shown through his soul in the painting. But do I understand the ending correctly? Did the contract just broke?
Still I really like Wilde's writing and the atmosphere of the late 19th century London

He is literally described as every femboy
>"When I find I am growing old, I shall kill myself"
>is literally called "silly boy" by Lord Henry
>pouts like an anime girl described with the word "moue"

yes, exactly

Makes me think how relevant this book is for femboys right now. Like the unhealthy obsession to look really young. It's called femboy for a reason, and not femman.
I wonder how femboys look at their future when their golden era of youth is over. After a while the facemask/hormones/camera-angle can't hide it anymore

that's the reason i am opposed to traps and femboys, it's tastelessly grotesque and vulgar, like bimbos (who also look vile when the age kicks in)
a guy who simply looks cute in his youth can reap the benefits of his appeal without going into extremes and age to be a regular man.

Wingmen is great military fiction. I also would add The Charioteer, which was first published in 1953.

thanks! i havent read anything on this list yet because i havent had the right homo mood for a while. wingmen seems to be one of the closest to my taste.
thanks for the rec, i'd also add Captain Corelli's Mandoline, it's pretty modern but the gay arch in it - somewhat somewhat major, although no real gay romance, just a character - is remarkably well-written. laughed aloud at times, great mix of humor and realism.

any more recs on love and close friendship between men in the military or war? i'm as anti-militarist as it gets (against the state rather than pacifist) but those are always so good, piercing to the core.
shit like Remark's books is my guilty pleasure.
recs on this
> the things they carried
> catch-22
> good soldier svejk
> the seed and the sower
> johnny took his gun
havent read but on my list
> Incoming! Memories of a Combat Medic Growing Up Poor Getting Drafted to Vietnam Coming Home and Coming Out.
> my war gone by, i miss it so
> Virtue Under Fire
> Untethered by R.A.Thorn
> the short timers

There’s that French Foreign Legion one, The Centurions.
If looking for non fiction He’ll in a Very Small Place. I know the French get memed as cheese eating surrender monkeys but at least at Dien Bien Phu there was a lot of heroism (and a lot of senior leader hubris and willful blindness)
