How do you evaluate your own intelligence? How do you know that you are not stupid?

Innate intelligence is a bit of a meme, most of what people think as intelligence, complex math, being able to parse complex literature etc is more about practice than anything else.
Shakespeare used to be incomprehensible to me, now I can read it with pleasure, I didn't get smarter just got more practice at reading

You're looking at it wrong. There are wise men and there are fools. Then, there are gifts. Intelligence is just the Renaissance Man version of the gifts. Everyone has a gift, some more than others. Skills also fall under the headship of intelligence. As far as the measure of intelligence, it simply hasn't been done. IQ is a stab at it, but falls short.

No it doesn't. IQ predicts every skill you could think of. If you have a higher IQ, you are going to be naturally better at everything; whether that be academics, sports, cooking, etc. It also means you're more likely to be a "wise man."
