Civil - few hundred skimmed if working on something difficult. Ive never done more than 20 pages in a day.

We also have paralegals for a reason. Like anything some days go crazy, nothing like having 200,000 additional pages of discovery to pop up randomly.

If its any condolence, most attorneys are horrible writers, even the famous/ expensive ones.

Thanks anon I appreciate it. I'm in my final year of an English lit major. I'm told I am a good writer but I just want to get my life together and have a career by the time I'm in my early 30s (I'm 25 now). Law school seems like a good option cause I'm in Canada and it's cheap here, 3 years and the job market isn't bad.

I really like it, especially criminal defense work.

That said, some days I honestly ask myself why I didnt become an engineer/doctor. It can be absolutely brutal. Losing some money is one thing, but telling an 20 year old they just got life after a trial is brutal.

I can only imagine anon. If I did do law..no way in hell would I want to do criminal. Or anything litigation frankly. I'd probably just get into wills and estates and call it a day. Solicitor work seems more my style. That said I am tempted to take a shot at med school but the thing is it's more expensive, harder to get into (in Canada at least), longer, and would require probably an extra year of prep for the MCAT and additional coursework. I'm very conflicted.
