WEIGHTED BLANKETS

What else gives such a feeling of comfort and peace? I snuggle up with a dog sometimes while under a weighted blanket- DOUBLE PEACE

>lit/ is for the discussion of literature, specifically books (fiction & non-fiction), short stories, poetry, creative writing, etc. If you want to discuss history, religion, or the humanities, go to /his/. If you want to discuss politics, go to /pol/. Philosophical discussion can go on either /lit/ or /his/, but those discussions of philosophy that take place on /lit/ should be based around specific philosophical works to which posters can refer.

I got mine from bed bath and beyond. it's lasted about 3 years so far, and so far has held together. seems like the seams are starting to rip a little- if you pull it by the edge, the weight itself will rip the seams. hope this helps.

i know you are just being nasty anon but you aren't actually that far from the truth
apparently many autistic people like the idea of being lightly restrained or feel physical pressure in the same way as a hug but don't actually like being hugged by a human being
in the book jpod by douglas coupland they invent a hugging machine that does something similar for them. i recall it being a bit like one of the restraints you get on a rollercoaster kind of thing.

Opiates
The embrace of a woman
Cat on da lap

All of these do involve a feeling of weight on you though, there's gotta be something primally comfy about that.
