there's 1000s of years of lit works, from all eras and cultures, waiting for you to be explored
on the other hand, there's 100yrs tops of movies to be seen, mostly produced in the same places
lit is just much deeper and broader

plus i hate most of what's broadcast today
i don't wanna be that guy, "who can't wait to get back to his shows"

I like things that are challenging. Although I don't understand many parts of the books I read, I know if I keep at it I will improve at something that is difficult. Without the struggle, the reward is not as sweet.
