Yes but it would be more platonist and aristotelian than them both. For me it's not a dichotomy but aristotelian is derived from platonism and it's the development of platonism that allows the aristotelian elements to appear.

My only issue so far in the book is that he doesn't take the obvious step in applying the dichotomy to Antioch/Alexandria in Christianity given his background and that he speaks about Alexandria a lot in terms of Aristotle.
