Why do so many of you not know how to use proper capitalization?

Start a sentence with them. And don't for get titles. Sometimes titles seem like a part of your sentence when you forget this simple grammar rule.
I know they're laying off all your teachers, but that's not going to be a decent excuse in this supposed "Age of Information."

Why is 'age of information' capitalised in OP's post? Or in quotes for that matter? If you're trying to set it apart as if we're not really living in the age of information or that the title is inadequate, you did it already by saying 'supposed'. And it is not a proper title, just a nickname, so capitalisation isn't required.

It's aesthetically pleasing and shows the audience a certain amount of respect.
