By realizing that you yourself are a liar, even when truthful. You rationalize, make excuses for yourself, fantasize about what could and should be, and tell yourself you know what's right and wrong. But you don't. So you learn to sift through the lies by picking apart other people's lies, and you keep doing that until you fucking die. Just hope you can pass on your experience so that the next person that has to sift through your own lies has less work to do. Or don't.
