What software do you use to write? No way anybody here is using google drive or word. it looks unprofessional and the format isn't right.

I use a legit copy myself. It's a good program, the best thing after a typewriter if you like to use a keyboard rather than handwrite (the nuns used to beat me for mine, so I have no choice).

File format: HTML/CSS
Text editor: Notepad++
Example (transcription from a paper book, not my original work): files dot catbox dot moe slash oyyt6j dot html
Note the list of CSS rules at the top of the file (when viewed in a text editor). These allow lots of fancy styling (including some limited interactivity: show or hide footnotes, increase or decrease font size, switch to serif or sans-serif font family, etc.), WITHOUT the bloated, non-book-like Javascript that so many "modern" Web pages rely on.

>> No.16613404

>>16613396
It's important to remember that "what you see is what you get" is a very bad way to write heavily-styled text documents. It's a lot simpler to separate creation and viewing.

>word
Professional editors almost 100% work in Microsoft Word.

When asked what format they want, it's Word. For blind submissions, they may want plain text in the email because of malicious attachments, but once you have a relationship, it's Word.

I write in Vim + Latex. Switch to Word when it gets past the draft stage.
