16586424 No.16586424 [Reply] [Original]

I'm going to be doing a fuckton of driving and I'm looking for some non-shit, non-pozzed audiobooks and podcasts.
I've already done some of the classics and loved them, like War and Peace, The Brothers Karamazov, and (as lighter fare) The Count of Monte Cristo, as well as the Discworld series, HHGTTG radio plays, and Pimsleur French.

In terms of podcasts I've exhausted Cautionary Tales, got bored of The History of Rome, and finished Carlin's world at war. I'm also getting sick of the leaky vagina softness of Criminal. Scott Adams is a censorious blowhard, Rubin is too simple, and I've listened to all of Peterson's excellent stuff, especially the Biblical lectures.

Can some anons help me out?

Adding to the list with the six months before and twelve month entirety of feminist mormon housewives podcasted year of polygamy, wherein curious and creative Utah mom and wife with several kids living in suburban Utah decides to document historical polygamy (I think the has a bachelor's in communication or something, no history background) by primary source, and basically reads every pioneer journal in the university of utah and byu libraries, while doing so loses her faith and her marriage. Extensive readings of primary sources, like half hour straight reads of the interesting parts.
Sorry for the blueball, basically it turns out fine for her. But at the end of the year of polygamy things are looking dire. Overall fascinating and I want someone to make a movie.

It's slow. It's americans trying very, very hard to get contemporary continental philosophy. I commend them for trying and for being far-rightists reading Baudrillard or Debord, but I don't think it's that good. You'd be better off listening to conferences by profesional philosophers. All those podcasts are making me think academia still has its efficiency, honestly.

You're just horny. Proof 1 : you picked the pics from google where these girls look their best. Proof 2 : I launched an episode at random, jumped 10 minutes in, and it's talking about how people are just signalling political beliefs instead of going after the real issues and how it's not true Biden supports the 'real far-left' as Trump implies. Sounds like boring, tired stuff.

Only good podcast in this thread is Myth of 20th. The rest either have no personality, are boring, or are insufficiently informative to be worth it.
