If you have a .edu you can get free amazon prime shipping for a year. It doesn't work for the .ca site, though.

No, meant that on Canadian Amazon you have to buy minimum of $25 for free shipping, which is relatively high compared to other sites (especially such as Amazon France which is free or BookDepository which ships everywhere free).

Though, I suppose it's a good incentive for people to gift even more generously...
