Essays and Aphorisms is a good place. My favorites from there on "On thinking for yourself" and "On Religion". On "On Women" that the other anon suggested: it's an interesting piece, but I think it betrays far too readily his own personal biases against women, specifically his relationship with his mother. If he had further developed it, it would easily escape the meme status that traps it today.
