More children survive in modern times and live longer with more defects, which led to more diversity in sexual tastes than in the past.

Breasts can look good because they're a sign of maturity and good health. They can tell us if a woman has breastfed (plumpness), or if her children would be prone to malnutrition (size). the problem with 2D is that yes, they can be bigger and still look plump, as with young women, and this creates an expectation of finding this in the real world and minimizing the drive to get a gf.
You will rarely see a combination of a neotenous face with big bouncy breasts and a flat belly.
