He had nothing to do with Sylvia Plath's death, she would have killed herself anyways. Whether or not he beat her has nothing to do with this, she was unhinged and clearly wanted to die even before their relationship. And quite honestly if he did contribute to her death it wouldn't have been a bad thing. Her raving poetry was a mistake and, dare I say, ruined a generation of women. Preventing her from being able to make more of it would be a service to literature.
