What is your specific focus in medievalism?

or, if you havent got to that point, whats something really fascinating about the time period you like?

My focus is on literature and philosophy in England and Wales. I study both the vernacular and Latin traditions. I also have a minor focus in Medieval philosophy.

If you've not read it I'd very highly recommend "Before Church and State" by Andrew Willard Jones. Absolute cornerstone work which breaks down the fundamental philosophy of the modern man and enables him to encapsulate himself within the Medieval mindset.

I haven't read it but thanks for the reccomrndation. I'll take a look at it.

I also really enjoyed it. I think the reputation is mostly a carry-over from Victorian era sensibilities. It seems to be getting a better reputation over time.
