Yeah in just about all cases it's actually better to just have two parents. Just having that kind of stability means a lot when it comes to identity development. There's just a lot of value in having two adults in those very specific roles for a kid's development. The biggest exception is when parents have poor boundaries with their kids. Molestation is probably the most serious of parental boundary violations, and people are almost universally better off without that particular parent.

All accountability is necessarily internal. External actors can try to apply pressure for accountability on the individual, but ultimately they are only convincing him of accepting responsibility himself. This is often a good thing, because most people are not responsible by nature and need to be pushed before accepting any wrongdoings or need for improvement. But if the individual digs his heels in and refuses to budge, not even Sisyphis could move him. You can punish the individual externally, but until they agree to the terms, you are just engaging in sadism.
Such is the nature of revenge.
Being mad at the guy raping your asshole won’t make him stop. Controlling yourself inwardly can, at the very least, improve your experience.
