Every time I meet someone who says they have read it I ask them to explain some concepts and they come up with stupid platitudes.

I think Deleuze is one of those philosophers who write in such a way, that even if you don't really understand what he's getting at, you still get mesmerized by it and convince yourself you understood... it happens with Nietzsche and Schopenhauer too.

I want to build the necessary background to understand that book. I guess I will get there in a couple of years at the least.
