Yo, my motion for summary judgement was denied because there was room for interpretation of the evidence and I want to tell the judge he’s gay, can I do that in my motion for new trial? Btw I having opposing counsel notice he’s gay when he waived service of the petition.

I'm a law student. I decided to study it in part (there were a lot of other reasons) because Kafka did, and I wanted to "imitate" him. I guess it's going alright, just as planned.

Filling out an avalanche of paperwork and going to hearings that are largely a strategic waste of time by the opposing counsel. Almost every case is also decided outside of court, so you don't even get to roleplay as Phoenix Wright very often. The depiction of the profession by popular media is both very antiquated and exaggerated

Being a lawyer in a small town/rural area is probably pretty comfy though, but good luck actually getting that job with so few positions available
