The short answer is that no, it's not accurate. It's a 15 minute test administered online. But your score probably isn't wildly different

IQ is a very raw intelligence measure and it's possible to be quick/have a good score and still be a brainlet in life. All this means is that you don't have an excuse to be a brainlet anymore

The memory bit was hard for me since it came all the way at the end and I struggle to concentrate on tasks longer than about 10 minutes at a time. I think just with advance knowledge of how exactly each test works and doing them one test at a time I could easily get 5-10 points higher across the board, but I'm still a brainlet that can't into proper literature. FSIQ isn't as important as you'd think. A lot of psychometricians argue that your highest component IQ score should be more heavily weighted when determining actual fluid-g than your lowest component scores. Also, a 115 VIQ isn't anything to scoff at, and is probably in line with most university undergraduates in non-mathematically intensive majors. What are your interests? You should consider investigating something like business or another people-oriented practical professional skill. Worst case scenario: join a trade. You'll probably end up better off than 90% of the college educated if you complete an apprenticeship as an HVAC worker or the like.

I understand you struggled with the memory section, as I felt my brain beginning to melt during that too, but the spatial questions were very easy, and could be solved by an imbecile given enough time:

How can you struggle to rotate an object in your head, especially when you have rotated examples on the screen? If you struggle with complex rotations, so long as you recognise one simple rotation in the answers, you can use that as a visual aid which when itself rotated in a simple way yields other rotated answers. The above method should help you attain all the answers. I don't think it's really necessary, but still why didn't you just do that, even as a way of checking your answers?

Similarly, there is no excuse with the spatial dots. You can immediately identify the quadrant that the centre of mass is located in simply by noting the number of squares and their distance from the central dot, which requires no intuition at all. From that rough area, it is then quite easy to approximate where the centre of mass is. Half the time I was close but not actually on the dot, but that was good enough apparently. I suppose there is a degree of intuition.

Not great... The above shows how intelligence should be measured (if ever) over a long period of time by professional researchers, not estimated by an online test.

You can't study for this, lol. For example the one that tests your ability to move objects in your mind to see how they would look in a different position. That isn't something you can study for.

The ACT is a proxy for intelligence, albeit measuring a narrow academic aptitude as well.

WAIS and ACT generally correlate at .74-.77, according to a meta analysis I read on the topic some years ago

For reference, different IQ tests normally correlate with one another at .8 or more. .55 is equivalent to what a single subtest might correlate with the overall score

I think the verbal IQ is probably the worst of the measurements (and because of both tests). The "similar" word is based off experience with words. The anagram is more indicative of processing speed (i.e., how fast you can rearrange the letters in your head until the word is familiar). Actual verbal IQ to me is ability to comprehend text and be explain to explain connections to words *already* familiar to you (like fox:polar bear::jack o'lantern:foam).

>The anagram is more indicative of processing speed (i.e., how fast you can rearrange the letters in your head until the word is familiar).
Exactly. Replace the letters with random shapes and you have basically the same exercise. Not to suggest the anagram exercise doesn't measure anything, but whatever skill it measures is not especially relevant to verbal comprehension.

>Actual verbal IQ to me is ability to comprehend text and be explain to explain connections to words *already* familiar to you (like fox:polar bear::jack o'lantern:foam).
