What books would you recommend to someone who seeks to become a master theologian and religious expert?

STEP ASIDE!

I have just written a book that deals with this in a way that is entertaining, it also deals with society and psychedelic experiences.

However, my agent over at Aschehaug don't want to publish, because of the controversy. All books like this are very hard to get through if you don't have a university backing you, and the universities are run by very political up-tight easily butthurt people.

Please read my book, I have posted it on fanfic, https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13626022/1/You-Must-Promise-Not-to-Laugh

It is a good read. I promise. And it deals with religion extensively, especially in the later chapters I have yet to post. But still. Worth a look.

Just so you understand, I am legit. My book is 170 000 words, 3 books, working on the 4 right now.

Start with the last book. It's actually readable, and great.

Not OP but both of these are in my reading list, which one would you recommend for me to read first and is there a book I can read before these two to understand them better. I am reading Interior Castle at the moment.

Dark Night before Ascent. As for what you can read before them, already getting into Interior Castle is a good start. Apart from that, having decent knowledge of the early Church and the Bible wouldn't hurt. St. John does a good job of explaining things, so you won't be missing out on any knowledge provided you have a basic understanding of theology
