What books would /lit/ recommend on modern China? I was looking for something related to China's supposed growing dominance on the global economics, politics views and their goals towards the future

t. knows almost nothing about China

This >>16254548 seems like a good list, especially On China. It goes until 2000.
In case of modern China you need some information about the 'old' China and its culture.
I wouldn't recommend books which predict(ed) that China would decline or disolve in the last 30 years or next few dozen years.
Not as a starter book and his technological knowledge about 5G is bad but David P. Goldmans 'You will be assimilated' is nonetheless an excellent book if you want to know what has been happening in the 2000s and what is going to happen the next few dozen years.
