Hello, /lit/. Me and a few other Anons from /vst/ want to make a mod for the video game "Sid Meier's Civilization 5". The ideea of a mod would be that every board will get to be a civilization and shit. The point is that we want to make a thread like this on every board in order to ask people some questions.
Question nr.1: Who should be the leader of the /lit/ board? You can say some writers, some inside jokes, etc. that would fit /lit/ in a funny way
Question nr. 2 : What ability should /lit/ have? An ability is something that gives a board an advantege in game. For example, for /lit/ I was thinking of something like : "International storytelling - Get 20% more culture from culture buildings & have open-borders with everyone"
Question 3: What special unit should /lit/ have and what benefits would it have? This can be anything.

1. The leader should definitely be Ignatius J. Reilly from a confederacy of dunces. He is the average true /lit/ poster, as opposed to the mutts we get around here like /r9klit/ dostoyevsky and cioran types, the /fitlit/ mishima types, or the /pollit/ evola and guenon types.
2. I don't know much about the game, but if it is an activated ability a good one could be "Verbose Soliloquy: pause the battle until more of your troops arrive and lower everyone's morale" the culture one is good though.
3. our special unit is the "posturing pseud", who has loads of defense from their impossible ego and has no attack, but confuses enemy troops. Good writers to use include Thomas Pynchon, David Foster Wallace, Hermann Melville, Jorge Borges, and Vladamir Nabokov. You could also look at the "/lit/s books of the year" charts for other author ideas; the charts are fairly consistent.
