I am going to take you at your word, sir.

I enjoyed Notes From The Underground; I bought a collection of Dostoevsky's short stories and it was included. I found the narrator's character fascinating. I know absolutely nothing about translations or translators, but this collection was translated by David Magarshack.
I also really enjoyed the stories "White Nights" and "The Dream of a Ridiculous Man". When I get some time this summer I plan on reading some of his longer works, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.
