I just realized it, browsing this board. What is the minimum required reading to be not a pseud?

Being a pseud is a lifestyle choice. Reading certain books won't change that.

Define pseud for me please.

You’re destined to be a pseud by thinking like that. You can read all the Vladimir Joyce, James Nabokov, finger your way through a well-worn copy of Neverending Joke, and join a discussion on Leodor Tolstoyevsky on this underwater basket weaving forum. It would mean nothing, if you’re just reading for the sake being able to said you’ve read. Enjoyment and getting something out of what you engage with, and of course challenging yourself, is what matters. Reading books like their tokens to be collected; that’s just not right. That’s what a pseud does.

Tolstoyevsky is a favorite. But for some reason Vladimir Joyce hates him.

You’re right but you also can’t stop being a pseud or midwit until you read. The reading may not cure it but you can’t have a chance of curing it without reading

Being a pseud is a move down for everyone, whatever level comes naturally to them.
