>"He likes to cite the example of Legal Porno, which specializes in the ultra-hard genre - more triple and quadruple penetrations, more perversions, more submarine-sized dildos. “Previously, sex was normal. And now - the more we shove into the girl, the better. Actresses are given lidocaine and pills, they pay a lot of money, then they go to the hospital, cry in pain, and the audience demands more, ”explains Woodman. Of course, with a laugh he corrects himself, in what is happening there is also his responsibility - in vain that he was called the Pope of Rome? “When I look around, I realize that I'm indirectly to blame for the broken brains of women, and the broken brains of their boyfriends and thousands of other guys,” he says."

>"Woodman is outraged when young people or married couples with children recognize him on the streets and ask to take a selfie with him as a souvenir."

Are there any modern novels which deal with the subject of pornography, and how it has become "normal" in society / culture?

The only story I can think of is Between Here and the Yellow Sea by Nic Pizzolotta. I would like to read about the life of someone from either the US or from somewhere like Russia who gets into this sort of industry and why, and their life afterwards etc.

Porn isn't as normal as you think it is. Only 66% of men and 46% of women masturbate. A smaller percentage of them consume pornography. My own girlfriend does not consume pornography - she literally thinks it's creepy and gross. Walk as far as possible in the opposite direction and you will eventually find people who are perfectly normal and healthy, people around whom you can feel comfortable, people who you fit with and who fit with you.
Stay strong.

It's from an article on a Russian news site called Snob (Snob.ru). They have a few articles on there about Russia and pornography, it is quite interesting and they talk about topics I see in Dostoevsky novels etc, about "fallen women" and so on.

Are these global numbers covering all ages? I'd be interested in seeing a breakdown by age and location

I would love a source for those percentages. Not that I think you're lying about your gf but I have heard it cited numerous times that 80-95% of people in modern times use pornography, and hopefully they're masturbating because watching porn and not is much worse.
Harvard (or another ivy league, don't quite me) wanted to do a study on the differences in brain chemistry between men who do and do not use porn.
They couldn't conduct the study because they couldn't find any men who didn't consume pornography.
It's a rampant and disastrous trend.

Nah, they're just for the United States. And I don't remember the source and I'm not gonna go looking for one. But do you have a source for that Harvard anecdote? It's not hard to find people who don't watch porn if you don't live in an area full of liberal degeneracy, i.e. a place like Harvard. But if you do live in one...

No. I am just not interested in looking for statistics to prove to you the obvious fact that not every one masturbates, and that not everyone watches porn. If the numbers really matter to you, go search for yourself.
And in any case, even if it were true that 80% of people in our society consume porn and masturbate, that would mean nothing. It would still fall on your shoulders to lift yourself above the level of our society and find people who are willing to walk the same path with you. No amount of statistics, no number of BASED articles, books, papers, or videos about how CRINGE our sexualized culture is, and no number of posts I or anyone else can make here can do anything to change this fact or to lighten your burden.
If you don't like porn, start actively telling yourself that it's disgusting. Start actively telling yourself that you don't like it. Even if you fall prey to the urge, actively tell yourself that what you are looking at is disgusting, and that it would be better for you to do something else. That is the first step.

This doesn't mean it's the new normal, that it's even what is normal for pornography
Look at statistics and most of it is lesbian cuddle porn. That's what porn is for normal people.
Edgy cunts are not the norm, they are the outlier, but the internet brings fleeting attention to anything
