16212147 No.16212147 [Reply] [Original]

recently finished my B2 Goethe exam and I'm pretty happy and proud. However, I won't be able to take it to C1 or C2 for the next year and I don't want to lose touch with the language. Are there any good german books (non-fiction if possible) you guys can reccomend me?

Germany doesnt really have a lot of non-fiction desu, so there isn't much to recommend :/
Guess you jsut have to go with this:
>Marx - Das Kapital

>> No.16212179

>>16212175
It can be fiction too! I just prefer non-fiction

>Patrick Süskind - Das Parfum
>Friedrich Dürenmatt - Die Physiker
>Friedrich Dürenmatt - Der Richter und sein Henker
>Friedich Schiller - Kabale und Liebe
>Goethe - Faust
>Anne Frank - Anne Frank Tagebuch
>Max Frisch - Andorra
>Klaus Mann - Mephisto
>Friedrich Nietzsche - Also sprach Zarathustra

Faust and Nietzsche could be too difficult for you at the moment.

>>16212175
>Das Kapital
Nothing of value is in this book or as Marx would argument there must be value in the product, because time was needed to write it.

coming from a language with no modal particles, i'm very confused when i see words such as "halt", "schon" or "aber", which usually have different meanings, used as intensifiers
to me that sort of stuff is coloquially done through expletives, adjectives or intonation
