What would Meursault's life had been like had he never killed the Arab? How do you believe he would have done and what he would have done with the rest of his lifespan?

He'd drink scotch whiskey all night long
BEAT BEAT
and die behind the wheel
He'd have a name for the winners in the world
And he'd want a name when he'd lose
They call autogestating arabs the F N L
So call him Deacon Blues.

You just made me remember that crappy novel everyone and their mother in French media is/was pushing that's from the perspective of the arab guy, of course written by some token court arab. Fuck contemporary literature.

I only realized that it existed by reading the Wikipedia article on The Stranger. It always feels kind of scummy to me to try to ride on the success on another author to get your story out there.
I haven't read it, but I imagine it wasn't very good if it had to do that in order to gain any sort of notoriety.

It's exactly what you (probably) think it is just from reading the wikipedia article on it. The novel takes zero risks.

Are you a different anon who has read it? If so, what was it about and how did it go?
