Tao Lin shows how bad was the decision to let the plebs think and speak up. How bad is the usual mental ramblings of the plebs which should never have been created if the peasants were not lead to believe they have the faculty of reason

this is why humanism is a problem. the dimwits start to think, and worse they start to think they are smart.and when they reach a high number, the result is millions of people babbling about drug fueled and sex driven faux introspection.

ive been microdosing, only $105 and i have enough to microdose for like 3 YEARS. 30x220ug needlepoint tabs. 20-30ug per dose, which is on the high end for some ppl, every other other day. so like ~100 days a year if im consistent. 100 * 20ug = 2000ug which is less than 1/3rd of what ive got. ive never done any other drug, not even cannabis, mostly for that reason. i have a friend spending hundreds per month on weed, only to, what, lower his ambition?

anyway it doesnt exactly make me more sane. mostly just very "manic" tho probably not true mania. happy. comfortable in my body. and as far as any sort of hangover goes, i think DFW had it right,
>Hal wasn't sure he concurred. An alcohol hangover was definitely no frolic in the psychic glade, all thirsty and sick and your eyes bulging and receding with your pulse, but after a night of involved hallucinogens Hal said the dawn seemed to confer on his psyche a kind of pale sweet aura, a luminescence.

>find myself not wanting to take it more than once every 6 months or so
i feel the same way. in fact ive only done one non-microdose i.e. 440ug and i spent like 12 hours of extreme nausea, most of that anxiously vomiting, with very limited short-term memory faculties. if i could have gotten out of the fetal position i mightve killed myself. the only reason i did lsd again was because i had so much left that i thought i might as well at least see what microdosing is all about

>benefits
for me, it just breaks up the flow of things. i don't necessarily feel more creative, just comfortable, content, more speed and less brakes in everything i do because of it which is beneficial to productivity i think. reading while microdosing is more vivid imo. ive seen studies that it has long-term benefits for people with depression, or whatever, but i can't say for certain.

One of my bad trips was similar to that, a drop into hell with a new train of thought departing my brain station every two seconds.
I can see microdosing having those effects. Making feelings more tangible, showing mundane things in a new light, etc. I've got pretty bad anxiety though, so I'm nervous about possibly being set off into a panic attack at a bad time.
I've got a 300ug tab just sitting there though, so heck why not give it a try.

https://web.archive.org/web/20160327094426/http://www.taolin.info/cho

>If Cho Seung-Hui was in my writing class and wrote a story like “Cho Seung-Hui picked up a knife and followed Tao Lin into the bathroom and stabbed Tao Lin repeatedly and put Tao Lin in a bag, brought him home, ate his corpse” I wouldn’t report him for counseling. I would treat the story like anything else that exists in the imagination. I would probably like the story because those are all things I’ve probably thought myself. I have thought about killing people, etc.

>In middle school my friends and I would talk about how we would kill the most white people if we were Native Americans. We talked, for example, about flying over the Superbowl and dropping grenades.

>I've got pretty bad anxiety though,
same, i mean, i think the only possible way to vomit for like 8 hours non-stop on lsd is if either 1) it's actually NBOMe, but i used a testkit beforehand, or 2) you have some sort of deep underlying anxiety issues. ostensibly nausea is common but like throw-up-once-and-you-feel-better nausea, not like lasting existential suicide Sartre yet also literal Nausea. also since I already quoted IJ,
>Some people their nerves are in their stomachs. Cisne, Yard-Guard, Lord, you: stomach men.
microdsg gives a stomach-centered body high, like a roller-coaster on the moon. so not quite nausea. no anxiety, or bad feels
>I've got a 300ug tab just sitting there though, so heck why not give it a try.

Tao, let's have a picnic. We can bring a large blanket or some sort of cloth-upholstered tarp and be compliant if that's helpful. But otherwise it would simply be the ancient act of food shared across imponderable chasms, no less real nor more important than any other meal, it could be as special as we deem to construct. Perhaps we commence a conflagration that feeds a multitude of people, and neither of us so much as eats as we hydrate and sling, gripped by the friscillating fissure, Tao-torn, a half-wink to his local fambase, thereupon piling out the goodnesses from somewheres beyond, from floating animisms, prelithics, gnashings, unrelenting our extraction and delivery until we are outside our material, and there we remain until our fathom collapses like a silly balloon and gives way to nestled exhaustions upon grassy cool Earth
