Why read a novel instead of playing a video game? Games provide a more immersive and engaging experience than any book ever could.

Hold the fuck up.

There was a /lit/ anon here who was talking about how he played this strategy game set in ancient Greece, Italy, maybe anatolia too??... Part of the game was going to various regions and provinces on this map, that are named according to their classical greek and roman names. The anon was boasting about how he could read classical /lit/ without looking at a map and know exactly where everything was happening.

I NEED TO KNOW WHAT GAME THIS IS. AHH.

(For now I'm playing 0 AD and actually kind of fun Desu, but would like an immersive map that will teach me location names.)

Perhaps, but you would have to be a brainlet to find them as stimulating.

hmm.... I can't find an image of the map, I remember it was all green, and it had names of every little province and city in southern Europe listed in white. My guess is that you had to conquer these provinces one battle at a time... Maybe I'll never find it...

Almost want to say it looks like Europa Universalis, but it's not exactly the same map that the dude included in his post.

>>16184994
It's not the same map as what the guy posted... although I would probably try one of these games if I can't figure out which game that anon posted.

I don't know for sure, but I feel like the provinces were much smaller on the map compared to the games you guys are posting about. Still cool to check out some RTS games, so thx.

That is just not something that interests me much. I even tried some when I was a kid but thought they were boring. I could ask you the same thing. How do you genuinely not get any joy out of Scheherazade's tales or from Bergman's questions of faith?

It's on my list. Some claim it's a fantastic big brain strategy. They are usually the same kind of people who insult EU4 and CKII players for playing baby games. Conversely, players of mainstream Grand Strategy titles call the game a boring spreadsheet simulator that autistically concerns itself with every boring detail. Sound like fun.

If you don't pirate, you should know it's been in bundles, so you can trade for it / get it cheaply on grey market sites.
