So, I know brownbear is supposed to be working on this or has finished it maybe, but I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Thought we might as well work on it! I started off with a few that I already had pictures on my computer of, but we should probably make some 'rules' for it. Like how many pages and all that.

What's the criteria for a "doorstopper" going to be though? 500 pages, approx, according to the edition? 600? More?

I couldn't find a complete in-one-volume set of In Search of Lost Time. If you know of one, please let me know and I'll switch that out. Otherwise, I don't know how to imply a multi-volume series other than just putting the first volume.

I think the page length criteria is 600+ pages. For all the ones that I check (about half), they were all over 600 pages. If there's any that are less than 550, let me know! At that point they probably don't count as 'door-stoppers.'

Don Quixote
War & Peace
Tale of Genji
Les Misrables
Search of Time

The list doesn't have to be long! Why are we trying to match the novella list anyway? Half of that 100 list is bullshit too, it being a load of longer short stories than actual novellas.

If there are only 25 decent actually doorstoppers (and I reckon you have to be 800 pages plus to be one) then so be it. Quality not quantity, people!
