Methinks the biggest problem with hispanic literature is that most hispanic people live it so it becomes like you wasting your own time by telling yourself your own story as if you didnt already know. It was pure uninteresting slice of life, as opposed to an insightful view into someone else's like Little House on the Prairie. Maybe you can sell it to a WASP but not to a hispanic person. The way blacks mostly listen to "Muh dick drugs yeye." Because it's fun and white people listen to Kendrick LaMar instead because he appeals to them.

They do. Just remember that the current socio-political culture pushes POC to write in a certain way with a specific outlook. Moreover, do not forget that most Anglophones are monolingual and if they are bilingual, it will almost always be in a European (white) language.
If you do happen to master a non-European language or have access to translations, it can be difficult navigating to find some excellent works. Much like in the Anglophone world, there is a lot of absolute garbage you have to sift through before reaching a true masterpiece. Your schools usually have done that work for you, usually in the form of assigned readings, making it easier to gauge early in life the kind of things you want to read.

By the way, I know this a bait thread, but this could help some (like my past self) find some true gems.
