One must be retarded to think this represents /lit/ culture.
Neither anime nor frogs belong to this literature forum.
There are fully grown men in their 20's thinking that they are some stupid frog and that's not ok, they only damage themselves.
But this board could be so much better without them.

This whole site is a hole for shitposting. /lit/ included. If you can not deal with the lightheartedness and lack of pretentious seriousness that is 4chan then maybe you should pay a visit to reddit or some other place that has no humor.

This is a literature board, not a philosophy board, the philosophical discussions should follow the rules. Most of they don't, that's why they devolve into a political discussion with a level of coherence more appropiate to either /pol/, /his/ or /x/ in the worst case.

frogposters are not interested in literature.
Most of them are "feels" threads for people to get dopamine from replies and "cute" images of drawn frogs posted by people as self indulgent as themselves.
The intersection between a) frogposters, b) religion threads and c) philosophy posters is alarming because none of them follow the basic rules and their thinking usually revolves between a philosophy to "cope" or a tradition to adhere themselves to.

All philosophy, literature, entertainment and art is a means to cope. So what if a feels thread gives some lonely anon a short dopamine kick? Let him have it. Why are you so selfish?

Ofc i have. But there are discussions that aren‘t meant to be about a specific work or author. What do you suggest where they go?
His? No they are not about history, they are about humanity.
Pol? What if someone *gasp* doesn‘t want the discussion to be political?
Adv? What if the discussion is strictly theoretical? One would just get shit on with „hurr durr what‘s your question? Do you even want help or just have fruitless discussion?“

Maybe someone wants to talk to people who know how something feels and sometimes that takes a certain level of intelligence not found on those boards.

>> No.16139321

>>16139304
Then they must make it clear, otherwise they discussion will ALWAYS devolve into something undesired.
Those posters fail to filter uninformed opinions because most of the time they don't want to do it and because they put no thought in their wording of the post and it shows most of the time.

Stop being so concerned with the appearance of "intellectual discussion" and start posting something of actual quality, you miserable shithead. It's pretty obvious at this point that most of the posters in this dump are more interested in looking smart for hanging out on the "intellectual board" of four chan than they are in actually talking about literature.
I don't give a good goddamn about anime or frogs, all I want is an anonymous message board to talk about books in, and every time I visit this festering shitheap I leave disappointed.

That reasoning sickens me.
Those people should either get help or get the rope.
You are not helping them or healing their wounds for being failures. You are only extending the part of themselves that should be cut so they can finally grow up.
