I don't think that anime-related stuff should be banned or discouraged on an anime forum, I mean even if most of us grew out of it years ago we should not deny the origins of 4chan. Most animes and mangas are rather bad and a waste of time and since /a/ is shit, I understand why people would come here to discuss their stuff.
I used to like these smug anime girls, when I watched that stuff and when I stopped watching/reading it they started to bore me. One major problem is, that very little good stuff has been produced in the last couple of years. Furthermore, the japanese aren't really good in writing a good story and finishing it properly, they usually fall flat after 50% of their story and waste the end. They are good at aesthetics, creating likable characters, an interesting world and some kind of novel mechanic that makes it different. Usually it's sufficient to draw a few chapters and sometimes they get popular just by that and get the money and momentum to build a big series but they weren't ready for it and burn out after a few years later.
I have read several mangas due to being tricked into reading because children, weebs, teenagers, manchildren and bugmen who have little standards and never read better literature.
They were mediocre, had plot holes, relied too much on the ominous 200iq-mastermind-trope, dropped in quality after a few years and some are probably never going to be finished and if then in a bad way.
Why is that the case? I have no idea, I don't know any Japanese (person). I once read from someone on 4chan who was warning weebs not to come to Japan since they weren't going to have any interesting or intellectual conversation with a Jap.
So why?

Not really, just buying a lower and upper receiver separately, as well as an an optic and maybe an after market trigger if you want to spend a little bit more money. It really depends on what you want to use it for, as I personally spare no expense when it comes to tools that can make the difference between life and death, but if you're just looking for a toy to plink with, it really doesn't matter. That's another reason why I would recommend an AR, as I believe it is a far superior rifle for a new shooter.

This morning I returned from the grocery, I was walking around the back of my truck to grab some things I had put in the back, when I heard a rustling. I looked at the hostas next to where I park expecting to see a squirrel or mouse or something. I took a picture of it and decided to look it up, in case it was a dreaded murder hornet. Turns out, I'd spotted an Eastern Cicada Killer, they are a type of wasp. I find them to be fascinating creatures, two inches long, they have quite pleasing markings and live a solitary life. The females hunt cicadas, for nourishment as well as to lay eggs inside them. They will sting the cicada to paralyze it, and since the cicada outweighs the wasp, they have to climb a tree or something while dragging the cicada to maximize the distance of their flight. The goal is to get the creature back into a hole they have prepared so that they can feed and lay eggs inside of the cicada. They are mostly harmless to humans, the males can't even sting. Just thought you all should know.
