An event generated by its prediction. It occurs because it was said it would occur.

If we're getting into semantics, hyperstition only requires the generation of a prediction. The prediction doesn't need to be believed in for it to occur, whereas that seems to be the case in most definitions of a self-fulfilling prophecy, where belief in the prophecy begets certain actions that then lead up to it's fulfilment.
