Logical positivism has been dead since atleast the 1970s. There are analytics who do work on metaphysics. Most of them are liberals so accusing them of not caring about poor people or climate change is stupid.

In 1950, analytic philosophy was still mostly verificationist (logical positivism). From then til the 70s or so, people heavily criticized the dogmas guiding old analytic philosophy. After the 70s some analytics began to take metaphysics seriously again and there's been some pretty interesting work since on metametaphysics. In philosophy of mind, people started taking subjectivity and qualia seriously again.
