I just can't believe in any religion in which god has a very specific opinion on how I'm supposed to do stuff.
It's almost funny to imagine that.
This is going to sound stupid and really gay but here it is.
Once I took LSD and I had a lot of anxiety. I felt sure it was going to be a bad trip, but somehow, something kind of clicked in the midst of the fear, and it was the same feeling as if you've suddenly seen the solution to a puzzle or you've suddenly got the joke. Suddenly these dragons turned to laughing faces, and I felt this feeling as if I'd seen through it all, and I'd just 'got' life. It was as if I understood everything, but at the same time my mind was childlike again, so I felt complete understanding along with absolute wonder all at once.
And instead of feeling enlightened, all I could do was lie back, watch the faces and scenes in the clouds, and laugh and laugh as if I'd finally got the joke and the whole world was just waiting for me to start laughing with it.
I don't know if that's religious, but ever since then, I've felt like we're all going to make it.
