I really liked consider the lobster. I think dfw was a far better non-fiction writer than he was fiction. Big Red Son is some of the funniest shit I've read highly recommend it.

I'm a fast reader in general and a technique I recommend for focus and attention is listening to the audiobook while reading. I usually listen to the audiobook at 1.5x speed because the narrators are usually much slower than my reading speed
