Basically: When the book first came out, threads spamming it were made en masse. Posts memeing it up and being obnoxious began flooding in after people reading it saw how fucking bad the book was and began tearing it apart. After a while, the memeing switched to actual suspiciously sycophantic defense posts. In the following stage, there was massive bump spam on the then-four or so threads still active. Jannies never did anything. Someone decided to make a new thread to CONTAIN the Horia Belcea content to one place, with the proposal that jannies delete the rest. The meme spam and suspicious defense posts invaded said thread and then that thread, but not the other four, was deleted. By that point everyone began to realize Horia was actually a janny. A new thread was made by the old OP, this time pointing out that the past deletion while the other spam threads remained untouched was indicative that Horia was a janny. Everybody started piling on Horia and his shitty book, the shitty defending continued, then said thread was deleted and OP was banned. Eventually an explicit meta thread was made collecting the evidence of thread deletion and abuse, and that thread was also deleted and many people were banned. The four spam threads never got deleted. Horia spam suspiciously cooled down to tenable levels since but it still happens on and off, as you see here.

Every month spend about and hour interrogating what you believe, and what your beliefs are grounded in. If you are a serious thinker you will quickly find that you have certain ungrounded assumptions about things i.e, what matter is, what being is, what intentionality is, what mind is, what objects are, and so on. Yiu follow the chain of questioning down to the assertion, and then you read, study, and research the debates around that assumption.

Midwits like this guy don't question themselves or ground their thinking. They are pseuds because they have built an entire philosophical project on ungrounded opinions. He begins from a theory about 'masculine and feminine', then going about applying it to society, never once challenging or interrogating what these terms mean, or what they are grounded in. To avoid mitwittery, you must read more than you theorise.

If you spend more time crafting the phrasing of your beliefs than interrogating them, then you are a pseud and a fraud. Every great philosopher has devoted their lives to interrogating their beliefs, since knowledge can only come from doubt. Kant awoke from his 'dogmatic slumber', and his interrogation of the basic assumptions of philosophy lead him to his copernican revolution. Descartes' radical doubt was the means to achieve a certainty. Heidegger interrogated the 'forgotten question' of being that grounded all philosophy. These great thinkers devoted their lives to doubting, questioning, and interrogating. Serious thinkers willingly debride their worldview in a painful procedure to cut away all the ungrounded nonsense and opinions in their minds. If you do not regularly do this you become a dogmatic. Once your dogma has ossified, you write it as a deranged manifesto, or pseudo-intellectual tome.

Socrates was right that the path to wisdom begins with accepting that you know nothing. Doubt leads to certainty, and scepticism leads to knowledge.

The text in this pic is something I actually came to realize myself, and I have a blog where I post about the process of how I came to this level of understanding in detail, from initially having no comprehension of it. Now, unlike Horia, I can read sheet music, but I understand that this level of musical comprehension is essentially independent of whether or not you can actually read notes in staff notation or play an instrument, and for the sake of this being somewhat ignorant of music theory is somewhat of a blessing, because it allows you to realize that coming to this understanding of classical music is a 'natural' process that isn't dependent on being taught that music should be structured in a particular way or anything like that.

The fuck are you on about? Of course it's 'subjective' in the sense that experiencing it in any particular way depends on your own ability to hear and interpret sound, which there is no specifically objective way of doing. We have specific tendencies as humans to hear and expereince things in certain ways as opposed to others, and musicians naturally take advantage of those they personally understand, but I can assure you that the way people personally experience music can differ immensely, and this I understand both through personal experience and research.

>Let me preface this review by pointing out that I have given a 5 star review not becuase I think the contents of the book are revolutionary or artfully written; but for other reasons, which I will explain later.
>I found out about this book through a discussion on a literature forum, and I was shocked by how negatively it and it's author were recieved. While I don't think this book is the greatest philosophical work ever written, it certainly did not warrant the level of criticism it recieved. It's true that this book isn't written to the standards of an academic work of philosophy, and while the ideas presented are for the most part solid they do need to be refined and further developed. In addition to the ideas the writing itself also needs work; it can drone on at times and the ideas are not expressed very well. However, despite these valid criticisms, I still think this book has literary merit.
>While this book markets itself as a book on philosophy, it functions much better as a combination of personal narrative and social science. An ordinary man's attempt to make sense of the world, covering many far ranging yet interconnected topics. This point of view is enormously important, yet not one we see expressed often in literature. Current events combined with sincere personal reflection, on pretty much every topic imaginable. Many original and interesting ideas as well. This is what I think makes this book worth reading.
>As for the author, if he wants to write a more academically acceptable philosophical work, he has a lot of studying to do. He needs to gain a deeper understanding of past philosophers and their ideas, which is not present in this book. He also needs to develop and contextualise his ideas with more depth and nuance than he has done so far. This will be a lot of work but then again so is writing an entire book, and he has already accomplished that. I wish him the best of luck.

>You understand the musician has specific intentions when it comes to writing music?

Is this a question? I mean, at this point I'm assuming that you're interpreting Horia as saying something naive and equivalent to "classical music is about telling [some specific] story" like each piece of music contains some set narrative or something like that, and assuming I also mean something similar. But no I don't feel that and I don't believe Horia does either, it's just that this is a completely reasonable way of describing the 'abstract' story-like nature of a musical movement when interpreted by someone capable of perceiving music in terms of functional harmony and its progression.

But otherwise I can't tell what the fuck point you are trying to make.

>>16019614
>LOL ok Horia

I just think that this is an otherwise reasonable description of coming to a particular form of 'musical maturity', in contrast with the absolutely insane babble that is the rest of the book. I don't think this in particular is all that unreasonable, though "the key to music is a musicians relationship with his instrument" is badly worded nonsense that says nothing.

So you are Horia? No one besides him and I have read his diary. In fact I think Horia only wrote the diary and put it in front of everyone.

The paragraph posted above that, which matches up with a particular way of interpreting music which I know is possible from experience and which others have also described.

>No one besides him and I have read his diary.

I've only read the excerpts posted in this thread and presumed that the bulk of it would be as silly.

>No it isn't.

Please explain why. What is your understanding of music like such that you just flatly disagree with this? Can you at least describe how you feel about this yourself and what your experience and background is?

You agree with how Horia *feels* about music? And how he *feels* it's the musician and his instrument that is what makes music work? You are a retard, Horia. Also: I know you're not Romanian.

The bizarre modding just makes it better. Imagine pouring your heart out over 6 years onto a .docx, reading Bronze Age Mindset, having an emotional revelation that you're the next Kant (whatever Kant did, never read him), then tagging onto your .docx diary a summary of your trailblazing and lightninglike ideas, forever to guide humanity, subtitle: "Writing the future of modern philosophy", then using a vanity press and being laughed at every time your name or book comes up.

Hey man, could you answer some questions on, errr, behalf of Horia?

1. Did Horia think people would believe he was Romanian?

2. Is the book a parody or is it serious? To have this be unclear is an achievement.

3. Does Horia own any guns?

4. How much has this cost him so far? His time is worth nothing, obviously.

5. Could it be that his time has negative value? What are the implications of this?

6. What are his investing tips, since he was able to handily beat the stock market?

7. When will we see the next book in the series? I'm interested in Belcean film theory, Belcean video game criticism, Belcean recipes, Belcean PUA tips, and Belcean crisis management.

8. Why didn't Horia have anyone read his first draft?

9. I read his book in GOOD FAITH—when will he apologize for unleashing this garbage?

10. Does he realize his diary is a long list of why no one wants to be friends with him?

>1. Did Horia think people would believe he was Romanian?
The concept of Romanianism is actually a subjective-peripheral ideal spun from an objective-center of racial categorization, which in turn serves as an objective-center for many different traits (stealing, lying, cheating, colorful tunics), which, when adopted by feminine-form male, become a new objective-center in and of itself. If, for instance, a caucasian man born in England were to be raised in an savage African tribe, could he not claim to be an African? But then again, the concept of Africanism is derived entirely by outsiders to the land known as Africa. To Africans, being African is just existing. Attempting to apply the concept of Africanism to any person or thing is a Caucasian trait. Your question is unanswerable.
>2. Is the book a parody or is it serious? To have this be unclear is an achievement.
Why do these concepts have to be mutually exclusive? Austin Powers clearly intends to mock certain aspects of the James Bond films, but does so with competent (therefore serious) cinematography, writing, casting etc. Therefore it is both a parody and a serious film. It would be better to categorize traits as being "feminine" or "masculine" as opposed to "parody" or "serious".
>3. Does Horia own any guns?
I would have to guess that Horia is a classic intellectual, and therefore subscribes to the notion of self-defense as an inherent right. How far he is willing to take this idea is anyone's guess.
>4. How much has this cost him so far? His time is worth nothing, obviously.
Publishing on Amazon is not expensive.
>5. Could it be that his time has negative value? What are the implications of this?
Time is an objective-center system. Horia Belcea exists as a subjective-peripheral. "Negative" is not the right word. Horia Belcea's time is masculine-feminine, as it is used to create things (feminine) of a spiritual nature (masculine).
>6. What are his investing tips, since he was able to handily beat the stock market?
The key is to be able to synthesize concepts and news from a variety of sources.

It occurs to me that your questions are not asked in good faith. I will not continue to indulge this mockery.
