Wondering about what comes after death is a waste of time. It’s simply a ceasing of you as you know yourself. An end to the save file. You won’t be conscious anymore. The only thing that matters is your attitude towards death. “The after-life you think awaits you is the one you get.” People have been sold different religions and philosophies since the existence of the two concepts in the name of solving this question. However, there is so much unnecessary baggage involved with the death-realization that they try to sell you that it’s a waste of time. It’s better to simply to ‘hypnotize/delude’ yourself into believing into the version of death that you want to believe in and enjoy the life this gives you. Do this by setting an affirmation which you repeat every morning and every night and by imagining how your life will be in your perceived after-life. If you’re /lit/core you can also write a few stories about it, or an imaginary diary.

What I just wrote is a sub-set of a larger part though, which is esotericism, the simple fact that “Mind > Matter”. The manner in which you perceive the world determines how you experience in it. You can either have a positive attitude, or a negative one. To be honest there’s no need for secret rituals or mind-altering substances. From one day to the next you can simply decide to change your perception of the world and enjoy the benefits. People get pissed off when you tell them “Just be happy lol” as an answer to their self-diagnosed depression, but that’s only because they’re seething at the fact that they don’t even control their mind, not because it doesn’t work.
