Is this the most destructive book in human history? Its teachings held back the most populated region in the world for millennia, condemning them into squalor.

China was, without interruption, substantially more advanced than Europe up until the Ming Dynasty started falling apart

I think the Han Chinese are more to blame than Confucius himself, but the history of that region overshadows both. It is really fucking sad desu, way too much suffering of far too many for far too long.

Nothing quite like starting off your literary history with a book about how you should devote your life to literary criticism and antiquarianism. It's like the gospel of senility, a child born planning its own retirement.

Confucius and his followers are precisely why East Asia had no chance of being as innovative as the Europeans.
>>15997774
I say Confucius because his teachings spread outside of China.
To this day, the hellish work culture in "developed" Asian countries like Japan and Korea can be attributed to his influence.

>> No.15997840

Confucianism's primary attribution to oriental culture was re-affirming social status and classes. The same pseudo caste system that rome had when it was hot shit, and the same thing that that medieval europe had when it was reinventing modern european culture. If you want to look at the cause of china's stagnation, look elsewhere.

Yes. This book is black magic on a scale that puts hegel to shame, it is literally responsible for desouling billions of people. The practices of this book will literally turn you into an insect, and over generations chink minds have been battered so hard by this shit that the scabbed over remains of their minds will probably block any dribble of soul or independent thought from trickling in ever again. The chinese, japanese and north koreans have basically weaponised this "advantage" and exploited the submissive literalism of their peoples """minds""" to create ant hill societies which are economically successful. They have no sense of morality, just etiquette, no sense of self, just positive and negative stimulus which has been manually rent away from independent thought and rerouted to blind servitude to money, the government and convention. Its fucking pathetic when you actually look at it, especially with japanese people whose entire life is like a cope filled satire of how materialists think

Tell me again how the millennia of advancement in technology and philosophy have done for the west is better?

>no sense of self
How is that a negative? Self-awareness just gets in your way. Unless you're a Chad meant for greatness, and remembered by future generations, it's just an inconvenience to acknowledge your uselessness. If you're just going to be a drone in the beehive, like the overwhelming majority of people in history has been, you might as well not be self-aware.

You're also describing the Soviet Union.

Turns out that people who don't sit on their asses in sinecures they got because they were good at memorization and drawing bamboo with an inkbrush are better at basically everything... except memorization and drawing bamboo with an inkbrush.

>>15998014
Self-awareness allows you to re-examine how you do things, even if they are very old habits. Crop rotation, windmills, water mills, covering grain transports with a tarp so the top layer doesn't sprout - you didn't need to be a chad to benefit from figuring out how to make your life easier. The modern equivalent is probably bash scripting.

https://github.com/NARKOZ/hacker-scripts

>fucking-coffee.sh - this one waits exactly 17 seconds (!), then opens a telnet session to our coffee-machine (we had no frikin idea the coffee machine is on the network, runs linux and has a TCP socket up and running) and sends something like sys brew. Turns out this thing starts brewing a mid-sized half-caf latte and waits another 24 (!) seconds before pouring it into a cup. The timing is exactly how long it takes to walk to the machine from the dudes desk.

The coffee hacker is 100% a product of Western culture. That's how we got where we are and how we'll continue to dominate, while Asians helplessly submit to social norms.

Here's another one:
>xxx: kumar-asshole.sh - scans the inbox for emails from "Kumar" (a DBA at our clients). Looks for keywords like "help", "trouble", "sorry" etc. If keywords are found - the script SSHes into the clients server and rolls back the staging database to the latest backup. Then sends a reply "no worries mate, be careful next time".
