How is it possible that there are other consciences other than mine? I know that I exist, and I can prove it to myself, but how could any other person prove me that they are real? I can hear them, I can see them, I can feel them, yet that doesn't make them any more real than a fictional character.

This is true to a certain extent, I can't be 100% sure that I really exist, but there are some hints that have led me to believe that there's some kind of Self, like the fact that I am thinking right now, I can't be sure that anybody else thinks, atleast not the same way I do. I can feel, I don't know if anybody else feels. I can see my hands right now, I can feel my fingers on the keyboard, can listen to the music through my headphones. I know, this doesn't confirm my own existence, but can atleast prove that I am something, that there is some kind of Self (I don't know if any of this made sense)

You cannot prove it. But there is a lot more you cannot prove. Even if you accept as axiomatic that your own conscious internal process is proof that you exist, you cannot prove that you exist outside of this immediate moment. For all you know, YOU didn't make the OP I'm responding to. For all you know, you sprung into existence just before reading this, and will be consigned to nothing immediately after finishing.
If you reject the existence of things within material reality, then you also reject every aspect of yourself that you are not consciously experiencing in this specific moment.

Oddly enough I used to think about this a-lot as a kid (10-14), I thought people other than me were "NPCs" because I couldn't prove that they had a consciousness of their own or that this world is actually real.
