Read 5-10 more, but you should just keep reading and over time you’ll get used to it. Have fun

Reading faster isn't going to make something you find boring be less boring. What you need is context for why you should read the book. Until you're actually interested in it you will not stop being bored.

Take Adderall and slowly up the dose ad hoc. Then, when you can no longer afford your prescriptions, start using heroin and move into a traphouse on the south side of Chicago for a couple of years. Meet a wise homeless man, and realize the potential in you to help others. Publish a few self-help books, make a cool million, and buy a new house in Hidden Hills.

You don’t like reading, simple as that. Go back to wherever you came from.

this, you'll be able to read more, faster as you get used to it. maybe Dostoevsky wasn't a great place to start though. I'd recommend A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man as a good short book for new readers

Don’t pause to look at each word individually, sort of glance across the whole sentence slowly. Start picking up the speed slowly and slowly. Record your speed, test your comprehension, play around with it and figure out the best techniques for you

This has helped me move more quickly through books when I am reading them traditionally. Primes your brain to suppress subvocalization and keep your eyes moving.

I would say C&P and Dosto in general is a bad measurement for your focus while reading. I love Dosto but C&P is such a tedious book to read. His theme and payoff are amazing, but there is a reason people say he did not write books but plays. Try read something else and see that you are not at fault.

Just read more and you'll get there
You don't expect to start running and not be exhausted the first weeks

It also might be worth reading a piece of literary that's a bit easier so that you get used to reading harder stuff. Crime and Punishment is quite good and often easy to follow, but Dostoevsky is by no means the easiest of Great Novelists.

With reading you just have to power through to improve. When I started many years ago I was pretty much at your level of reading. Now I can comfortably crush a novella in a single sitting. This depends greatly on the text however, as something like Dosto is much denser in terms of context than something like Mishima, yet both are interesting and worth reading.
