This is baloney you can front load all the ethics you want into your own definition for something but why should anyone else care what your definition is? Or do you believe that words have objective definitions besides whatever meaning we assign to them

What does what people think have to do with the objective definition of a role? If I'm an actor, I play a role in any sort of theater-related media by definition. It's not up to consensus, it's the vary nature of the role. Likewise, if I'm a gardener, there's a definition of the role that brings with it a sense of what it means to be a good gardener. Whenever someone says something to the effect of "He's a shitty ship captain" or "she's a great mother", they're making a statement about how well they fill that role, not really a statement of how one feels about it, even if someone has a bias for or against another person. But hey, believe whatever you want. It doesn't make it true.
