There are a lot of pinball machines based on movies based on books (Starship Troopers, Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, etcetera).
As you might expect, there are only a few pinball machines based on books directly.

Oddly enough, the operetta The Student Prince received a pinball adaptation in 1968.

This was made by Recel, a Spanish company. Which means I can't find any gameplay footage.

This Arabian Nights pinball machine is definitely the best of the literature adaptations. It's from the 90s, so it's leaps and bounds more advanced than the others. Sound effects, toys, ramps, all great.

>> No.15917940

Can't think of a single "good" one that fits the criteria of being faithful to its adaption and/or being good on its own merits.

planescape torment built on the tabletop foundation nicely. betrayal at krondor is your standard genre fiction in literary form.

Shin Megami Tensei series is not based on a particular book, but it's based on mythologies, creatures and philosophy from all over the world.
Pic related, there is a demon based on Alice.

Pic related is excellent and underrated. Also great if you like film noir in general and stuff by Hammett.

Wasn't Spec-Ops: The Line based on Conrad's The Heart of Darkness?

Also, CD Projekt Red has made a bunch of games based on Sapkowski's Witcher novels. I have read some of the Witcher novels and they are all right.

It's actually based on a Japanese light novel which also has an Anime adaptation. I remember reading some of the fan translations of the original light novel. I can't remember the website, though. You can try and use YouTube to see some clips of the Anime wh

"It was written in the late 1980s, and is the original source material that would eventually spawn the entire Megami Tensei franchise. The novel was soon adapted in anime form and billed under the same title."

Oh, I should have remembered that after watched video game reviews and reading articles about the video game.

Not a particularly great game, but it was groundbreaking at the time in the way that NPCs would act independently without the player's input

The 2003 game is a decent action-adventure

Starship Titanic. It's not directly based on a book, but it was written by Douglas Adams and has strong Hitchhiker's vibes.
